Fi and Sarah.....
We are commonly known as "Fi & Sarah from Body Positive Australia" Ha ha. We usually come as a pair (poor students). We have been business partners and friends for about 12 years now, developing and facilitating RIPE (Recovery Is Possible for Everyone) which is group therapy for women with binge eating disorder or bulimia.
We have a strong Health At Every Size (R), NonDiet and Health-First philosophy which will be incorporated into workshops right through the retreat. We also believe that taking care of yourself is absolutely the key to offering a top-class service to your clients as well as finding space in your days for other important people and tasks.
Our work.......
As well as RIPE Group, together we lecture to Dietetic students here in Melbourne on the topics of Body Image, Counselling Skills, Eating Behaviour and the NonDiet Approach (with Dr Rick Kausman). We ran our first retreat in 2014 for women who wanted a body positive space to practice yoga, relax and re-connect with food, eating and their bodies.
We are passionate advocates for size diversity and will be guaranteed to bring our 'unique' brand of humour to the retreat for your entertainment.
Our play.....
Together we have 4 boys under 9 (yikes!) and juggle kinder, school, partners, dogs and homes. Fi loves camping, Sarah glamping.
We're really hoping this first-of-it's-kind retreat will offer a unique space for Dietitians to come together, explore issues, learn, grow and.....what we all love doing most.....EAT!

One of Fi's passions is finding ways to support parents to provide an environment in which kids can interact with food and eating in a positive and healthy way, to reduce the environmental influences of factors that may lead to disordered eating and poor body image. She has recently written an EBook "Eat Right Without a Fight: Raising Happy & Healthy Eaters" which aims to help parents find ways to feed kids with more confidence and less stress.

We have no tolerance for fear-mongering and anxiety-fuelled messages about food, eating and bodies - but we also love to have a laugh and a wine when things get a bit ridiculous!
