Everything you need to know...
Saturday 4th July to Wednesday 8th July 2015
It's not only your clients, family and friends who get to go on retreat - now it's your turn!! We've specifically aimed to design this retreat to be a mix of yoga, workshops and discussion, social time, activities and....well....some of it can be up to you.
Spaces are limited to around 16, so that we can provide an opportunity for smaller group workshops and discussion. This is not going to be conference-style (no submission or abstracts to be seen here!), but there will be fantastic workshops that are relevant both for your own life, your practice, and your clients.
We are thrilled to announce that the very experienced Terrill Bruere APD will be joining us to run a workshop which will offer a mix of didactic and interactive components.
Working with Womens hormones and PCOS in a HAES world.
In this workshop, we will build an understanding the physiology to Integrate physical appetite with emotional eating, social dilemmas and all the other body image and health concerns that come along with the territory. What we learn here provides us with different approaches to working with anyone with complex metabolic, mood or weight management concerns.
Terrill is well known as an expert in the areas of womens health, particularly PCOS and Eating Disorders. She has presented at many conferences and workshops over her many years of practice, so we're all sure to leave much richer for the experience.
Fiona will also be running a session with Zoe Nicholson APD from Figureate and the hugely successful Facebook page The Moderation Movement. We'll be taking a look at the NonDiet and HAES movements both in the past, present and into the future and what it means to us as individuals, Dietitians, the profession and globally. We promise some light-hearted & fun social media activities in the mix too!
Other workshop topics will include:
